Please email Kyle@AlaskaBushHawk.com if you have any additional information about this aircraft Current Operations: DESTROYED 2003 C-SEA was destroyed in an accident in 2003 while operating on floats in the Bahamas. The specific details were never released in an "official report" and the only source of information was from the owner/pilot Paul Harding and his posts in the seaplane pilots forum.
My understanding is the cause of the crash was resulted from a stall after takeoff which was recovered, but the aircraft was unable to gain enough altitude to clear a breakwater/barrier island after the recovery. There were no fatalities and all passengers walked away uninjured.
There is a large amount of discussion on the SPA forum about the subject. The aircraft was considered "totaled" by the owner, and the engine was salvaged before any tests could be performed to determine if the engine was malfunctioning.
